Overview of Support offered

YMCABCG offer a range of mental health workshops to improve a person’s overall health and wellbeing.

‘Anger Management’ provides young people with a better understanding of what anger is and explores some of its signs and symptoms and how anger can effect a person’s life. This interactive workshop will teach young people to explore coping techniques and strategies and how to apply these in everyday life.
In a relaxed, informal and non-judgemental environment, young people are able to share their experiences if they want to or use the space to reflect and explore new ways to cope with the challenges that life can bring.

what equipment should I bring

We provide all of the equipment and ingredients. We do require access to a sink with hot running water.


Outcomes expected

  • Young people will develop effective coping strategies and build emotional resilience to deal with the challenges that life can bring.
  • Young people will have improved confidence, self-esteem, optimism and motivation by dealing with some of the mental health challenges they are facing.
  • Young people will develop the confidence to talk about mental health issues and seek help in times of crisis.
  • Young people will have the confidence and ability to return to, or enter, employment/training/education and develop emotional resilience and coping strategies to sustain employment or engagement in training/education.
