Where is it?
This course will be delivered at our centre in Gnosall
2 days per week – 6 weeks – 10 – 3. (Wednesday & Thursday)
Overview of Support offered
The course develops experience working with a variety of animals, familiar ones from our level 1 course to horses, cows, pigs, goats and some new reptiles. You will gain a greater understanding of habitat management and help with the wetland and woodland conservation programme. During the course you will gain experience in dog training. There will be the opportunity to take part in detailed health checks. You will visit our equine centre and learn about horsemanship, training and care of the horse, including nutrition and medication. You will undertake some basic research tasks to help improve your understanding of the animal world. There will also be guest speakers coming in to discuss job opportunities.

what equipment should I bring
Warm clothing. All other PPE will be provided.
The young people will develop leadership skills by managing the animal hub. Guest seminars to show the opportunities available for employment once achieved the level 2 qualification. They will be able to seek employment with various organisations, ranging from RSPCA, Dogs Trust, Pet’s at Home, Kennels, Catteries, PDSA. BASC, Forestry Commission, Wildlife Trust, Local Councils, vets practices.
