Overview of Support offered

We will focus on improving employability, creating positive role models, qualifications and a work experience/volunteering opportunity in a dynamic and interesting way.
The volunteer deployment and sports leadership programmes will aim to enhance your experience and knowledge, providing you with pathways that will improve your employability through evidence based learning.
We have designed employability focused volunteering programmes in the Black Country through “Sports Makers”
Identifying your needs is fundamental to the selection of training and deployment, recognising these needs and associated support. The skills and competencies local employers are looking for will be embedded into the pathways. This will enable you to be engaged on the programme to make informed choices.
The programme pathways will be clearly mapped out to you by athlete mentors and assessors. The pathways will map appropriate training and qualifications with community deployment within local voluntary and community sector partners, further education or training providers. Our partner selection has been based on those who have both experience, reputation and impact using sport as a tool to move people closer to the job market.
