Overview of Support offered
We call it ‘The Indoor Farm’. Opportunities to handle the hedgehog, millipedes, guinea pigs, giant snails, rabbits, chickens, ducks, tortoise and meet one of our dogs Bess or Digger, who love a fuss. They will learn various facts and stories about the animals and how to look after them. There will be opportunities for photos, so the young people can go back and express their thoughts on the day to others. Ideal for people who experience anxiety, lack confidence or who do not experience small group work regularly.

The young people will develop their verbal communication skills, they will also have experience working with small groups. Should the young people want to gain a qualification in animal care, then they can enrol on a level one animal care course. Or if they just want to come and work on our farm for the day working with larger animals, experience nature at its best, then that can be arranged.
