Overview of Support offered

This is a chance to try canoeing in Canadian canoes under the guidance of an experienced instructor. Originally designed for use by the Native Americans, these boats were then taken on by hunters, trappers and explorers throughout the North American continent. Modern Canadian canoes have not changed much from their original size and shape.
Participants will learn how to steer and paddle a canoe and work as part of a team. For nervous participants or absolute beginners or people with disabilities, canoes may be ‘rafted’ to provide extra stability.
