Business with a Criminal record explains the benefits of being self-employed if you have a criminal record and are finding it hard to secure employment.

During sessions we will discuss:

  • Benefits of being self-employed
  • How to start/register the business
  • What business to do
  • How to be successful in business
  • Legal business requirements
  • Discussions around our own businesses

Outcomes expected

Once a person has completed this workshop it will give them the foundations which they need to start their own business.
They will leave knowing what their next steps are going to be and also thinking about what they are good at doing which they can turn into a successful business.
From our discussions they will have an in-depth understanding of how to initially register and start a business, what issues they may face when doing this from having a record and letting people know that they still have options.
