Overview of Support offered
EVALU8 is a short 6 week course where you will look at practical numbers that you might use in everyday life e.g. measuring a room, basic fractions, decimal money, shopping and getting change, shapes and angles, positive and negative numbers, adding, subtracting etc. You can use weights and measures to learn about measuring for ingredients to cook and distances to help you use a satnav. The course is fun and interactive giving you a chance to work in a group or on your own. Groups are small and friendly with plenty of support from staff if needed. You will go through the basic maths you need for everyday life with no worries about passing or failing or sitting an exam. This course is about getting to grips with the basics, so you can move on to higher levels of maths if you want to or just be able to use your maths skills in everyday life.
