Six 3 hour sessions once a week.
Overview of Support offered
Looking to live more independently? Maybe you will be living on your own for the first time and unsure of what to expect or what you are expected to do? Want to build on your knowledge of real life situations and knowing how to deal with problems as and when they arise? We offer a Basic Living Skills course that will enable you to learn simple life skills. This includes:
- Preparing a simple meal.
- Identifying healthy eating and looking at nutritional information.
- Personal health and hygiene.
- Completing domestic tasks.
- Making choices and staying safe.
- Living to a budget.
The course encourages self-confidence and growth whilst promoting independence and social skills. It also supports and empowers individuals to make decisions and complete tasks to the best of their abilities. Support available where needed.

What equipment should I bring?
