5 sessions x 3 hours (1 session per week)

Overview of Support offered

Set within a welcoming and friendly environment, the course runs for five weeks with each session lasting for 3 hours. This training offers ways in which you can learn how to manage stress and anxiety and improve your self-confidence. Or even if you are just interested to know more about the subject in support of someone else. The sessions cover something different each week including a practical session where free samples are given and you can look at different relaxation techniques and try out equipment. This course aims to provide the you with a better understanding of health and well-being and includes some serious information but also lots of fun activities. You will identify how to be assertive and recognise the benefits of being assertive and how best to deal with criticism. We include an Advice & Guidance session and look at progression within this training and are able to give impartial advice and identify further training and career opportunities at the end of this course.

Outcomes expected

You will be able to recognise the symptoms and identify possible causes of stress and anxiety as well as look at coping strategies. You will also have improved self-confidence and will identify assertive behaviours.
