Overview of Support offered

With this program you will learn:

  • Cooking skills
  • Health and Safety in your home and when out and about in the community
  • The beauty of managing your home and living in a clean and comfortable environment
  • How to budget your income
  • Employment
  • Health and Well-being

You will gain:

  • Practical skills for life in areas tailored to your needs.

The aim of the life skills program is to aid you with skills for life.
This will help you to explore your own gifts, talents and skills as individuals. It will increase your confidence levels and raise positive self-esteem and awareness.

The program will facilitate 6 units and 1 get to know you session which will make 7 sessions in total.
All this will cover general and practical life skills which will educate and hopefully improve your everyday practical and social life.

The course will provide an in house certificate for each unit completed so if the course is fully completed you will have your own portfolio which will contain certificates, and evidence the work which has been undertaken.

Although the overall program covers various topics, you can undertake all the program has to offer or just select what area of work will be best suited for you as you may not need to cover all the subjects. The program is very flexible so for example if your needs are based around one unit, you can cover all 6 weeks on that unit and if you need to look at anything in other units we can do that in addition. This is based around your needs.
