Flexible approach but typically the course will be 10 days for 4 hours per day, 10am to 3pm with a break for lunch.
Overview of Support offered
To develop transferrable and interpersonal skills to aid progression into employment through two programmes:
A radio and music based programme to improve communication, team building and motivation proving an insight into this exciting industry. You will have the opportunity to:Record a radio programme
Working together to produce a short radio programme which involves producing music and editorial, presenting, interviewing, editing, research and planning. The programme is recorded and promoted on social media promoting a sense of achievement.
Receive DJ training
Working with an industry professional to develop your skills and techniques. We will also help you to make beats. This is one part of the overall programme.
Produce individual short features/music/spoken word pieces around any subject important to you developing research techniques, scripting, presenting and editing.
Produce an audio CV
As an alternative to written CV’s you can write and produce a 30 second audio recording about yourself including your skills, experience and interests which will be produced as an Audio Boom file and circulated on social media.
- KIC TV
Production of a short film or animation
Working with industry professionals to produce animation and short films to be uploaded to our YouTube channel KIC TV focusing on issues affecting everyday life.Video CV
This is the same as the audio CV in the form of a 30 second film promoting you.
KIC can provide opportunities for you to continue your development through volunteering on KICfm and KIC TV. We would encourage you to continue to participate as this is a great way for you to stay engaged with the project allowing us to monitor your progress.

what equipment should i bring?
All studio, recording and video equipment is provided although if customers have their own laptop or tablet this can be used.
