The course runs every fortnight booked in advance. 16 hours per week – delivered over 3 days. 10.00 – 15.30/16.00
Course duration is 8 weeks with an intake every 2 weeks. Wed – Fri weekly.

Overview of Support offered

You will have to attend a group information session and complete a Literacy/Numeracy assessment prior to starting the course.
You will focus your time on developing your Speaking and Listening Skills in everyday scenarios.   Developing use of everyday English will support progression in any career.
The objectives covered in the course will include:

  • Speaking clearly to be understood in simple exchanges
  • Asking questions to obtain information
  • Speaking and Listening in simple exchanges in everyday contexts
  • Listening for key information

This course revolves around you developing your speaking and listening skills in everyday scenarios, focusing on listening for key information, speaking clearly and asking questions to obtain information.
